My guess is that it may still be fitted to cars that do NOT have an Amp fitted, but might be hidden under the carpet (along with a sticky throat lozenger), beneath the drivers seat. Pull the carpet up to the right of the air con duct and see if it’s been tucked away under there? Worth a try?

A little tip, put the drivers seat all the way forward and in the raised position to get easy (easier) access.
As shown here previously.

So ive now mounted a mono amp behind the boot carpet next to the REM powered directly from the rem's power feed just by adding a wire for it. made sense to do it there without a fuse as that feed is already fused.

negative went on one of the threads for the rear light cluster and i used the towbar fuse (dont have a tow bar) with a piggyback unit for the remote feed which goes off 12 seconds after ignition off. piggyback unit has 2 fuses so its fused there also. not sure if the tow bar wiring powers anything else but it obviously made sense to run the original fuse in the piggyback unit and add an extra one for the amp in its second slot.

then i ran rca's from my head unit, i pinned the iso wiring adapter on the green connector so i could connect the speaker wires directly to it without needing to touch any of the car's wiring. now the dash speaker is a nice little subwoofer which works pretty well for what it is

and because you lot were so helpful to me i actually made a video to explain the audio wiring from what i learnt here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWI09WmJbDE&t=18s

all i have to do now is use the HPF on my head unit to take the bass away from the front speakers and tune my LPF on the amplifier for the bass of the sub. by the way i had to turn on the sub on my pioneer AVIC-F77DAB i thought id done something wrong until i found the "turn on" for the sub in the menu lol
