What a seriously dreary and uninspiring "range" of colours.
Rather depressing really.
Imho of course

No, you're right, in line with other manufacturers all you see these days is grey, like driving around inside a cloud sometimes.

Exacerbated by the black (or as Volvo name it Charcoal) interiors.

BMW as bad - White, 2x Black, 2x Grey and a Dark Blue.

Wow.

What happened to the Volvo Bursting Blue - perhaps that'll remain in the UK.

All part of the current global movement to make driving as uninvolving as possible with 'ownership' giving way to the PCP/BCH/PCH hire car outlook.
Demand more. If you care.

For those interested the UK Volvo website now has our new model year updates on it.

I don't get these mild hybrid systems. Presumably they're just a BIK fiddle?

With the 2021 models you now get added weight (circa 50-60kg?), complexity and a price hike but no meaningful improvement in peak power or fuel efficiency/CO2 output?

The interior options on the base V90 B4 petrol M+ are grim, just dark grey/black with horrid aluminium mesh (or colonic brown with wood, vom).

Front bumper does not appear to be an improvement either. I also like my shiny chrome exhausts!

At least the nonsense that PowerPulse turned out to be is avoided when mild hybrid technology is applied to a diesel. I've never understood the value of a system that makes no detectable difference when it fails and is thoroughly unreliable (according to this Forum).

I think the co2 output would likely be worse without them!

You have to remember that the D4 went from 119gkm to 129gkm when the change to WLTP emission testing came in and now it's up 153gkm and I don't think they have changed the engine at all in that time!

As a company car driver that basically means any Volvo but a plug in hybrid is now far too expensive to consider.

And going off my experience, the plug-in hybrid is too expensive to appear on the company car list!
