Default Fusebox powering down

Could anybody help me with some info I have 2016 S60 D4(190) Business edition, I have used piggy back connectors to Install a lukas 290 to power my front and rear dashcams, when in park mode the camera runs for three minutes then shuts down, from what i can work out the car is shutting down the fusebox in the passenger footwell, is there any way to tell the car not to shut down the fusebox.

Most of the electric circuits shut down, either with the engine or by a timer (radio, fan etc). You need to find a permanently live system and tap into that. I believe that the dome lights are capable of being switched on again once they go off, so maybe they have a permanent feed? Find the fuse circuit for that and try again. Perhaps someone else, with more experience, can be more helpful.

Thumbs up

Not very clued up on the S60 but in my XC70 the rear seat power socket and the boot power socket remain live even with ignition off. I do get a warning if power drain is to much for the battery, don't know if this is of any help, something to look into though. Also good to know a VOC member lives just over the hill, I'm in sunny Loveclough near Rawtenstall, and work in Burnley.

Hi thanks for that, the lukas needs to draw power from the fusebox, it has the option of powerind down after a given length of time or f the battery volts falls to a preset level, also live in Burnley work in barnoldswick.
