Fitted my one today. FWIW the model shown in the haynes book isn't a 2002 v/s 40.

The Haynes manual is rubbish for the P2 cars. It is based on the P1 and they have not updated it for all the major and minor differences of the P2.

Basically on this particular job the only difference is an antinurgle device round the push/pull rods from the handle to the lock.

Meant to add that sealant holding the membrane on is bloody strong stuff, still picking bits off me.

The attached image shows how I replaced the staking on the end of the pivot pin by using a 4mm wheel collet used in r/c model aircraft to retain the pin in the casting. I filed a notch at the end of the pin where the staking once was, put loctite red on the grub screw and tightened it up. This method has proved reliable in multiple take offs and landings in my models without a failure (yet - touch wood).
