Default Spares or Repairs 965 3.0 CD, Newcastle upon Tyne

Hi,

My faithful old Volvo has failed its Mot, it needs some brake pads and rear suspension brushes. Exhaust is a little bit blowy. Apart from that it's been a belter, it's been well looked after generally, has scratches and scuffs around the bumpers. I've owned the car for 9 years and it's covered 145k miles.

Full spec 3.0 CD Auto estate, metallic blue with grey leather
perfect door cards and walnut trim
Good service history 16-17 services
Lots of old MOTs and receipts
Many new parts over the years
Good tyres, rears are winter.
Electric seats and even the remote locking still works! 2x keys.

The a/c, it's recently stopped and (I suspect a leak) and the front interior light. There is an airbag warning light on, but as its 1994 car I doubt it needs it for its MOT. I'll post pictures later and a copy of the MOT & service history etc.

I'm open to offers, the MOT expires 15th Sept and i'd like the car to go before then

I'd rather it went as a project for someone ideally or worst as parts! These things are getting rare!

Thanks for reading.

Cheers

Colin

Very tempting, do you have a rough idea what you want for it, or would you like to swap for a '52 V70 estate (128K Manual) with a cash adjustment in the appropriate direction?

I really miss my old 940 and as much as I like the V70, it would be nice to go back to RWD 94(6)0.

Hi,

Thanks for your interest, I'm not sure on price, have a look at the pics and see what you think, I'm open to offers given it needs some work I'm not sure what its worth, i really dont want it to go on ebay and be used for drifting etc! Im unable to take a swap unless of course it was a mint 850R in yellow and Id give it some serious thought!

I would be interested in your 960...but.............I live down here in Kent, so thats a bit of of problem for me.

To be fair, Im looking for 4 decent door cards, possibly a radiator and a bonnet for my Blue 1995 M. Reg 960 estate. So i would only be looking to use your car as a donor/parts vehicle.

If you fancy driving your 960 down here to Kent, selling it to me for parts, then catching a train back "up North"??!!...that would work for me mate
Seriously though, i really hate the ole saying - "If only you were closer, i would buy this"...but Im pretty sure if this car was in the Kent/Sussex/Essex area, i would have sent you a PM by now

As for price...thats up to you, its your car, you set a fair price...people can then make you a fair offer.
By not setting a price, its off to a "no starter" for most people(me included)...I cant be the "Buyer" and the "Seller"!
You could want £50, £150, £500, £1500 for it????

Your the "Seller"...so set a price.

Hope this helps some, Cheers Paul.

Thanks for the advice!

Right, £500 ono, ideally I'd like the car to go before 15th sept when the mot runs out.

Otherwise I will end up repairing it and with 3 cars that won't make me popular!

If anyone would like any further information or photos of specific parts of the car etc then please let me know!
