Sounds a bit hard to believe doesn't it - they must have been changed. I've got to bash the other rear wheel off later (instead of the garage doing it with somewhat less care) and clean up the hub to alloy corrosion.
The rears on my CLK wore out in under 10k |

mine goes through front tyres in about 28-30k (rear were about 40% worn at that point)
I need to replace the front again now actually....with 90600 on the clock

Agree ^^^. Fronts 30k. Rears about half worn at this mileage.
Perhaps 42k on an AWD car might be feasible.
