Hi all I need to renew front shocks and top mounts on my car. Would anyone recommend also renewing the front springs. How much roughly would this cost and any parts that I may need when renewing the front suspension that I've missed?
Regards
Dan.

I do this sort of thing as a routine job.

Shocks - get Bilstein B4, PFS usually do a great for all 4 (provided they are not the self leveling types).

Lemforder suspension mount bearings and top rubber mounts (just got myself a new set this morning set today from www.autodoc.co.uk).

Spring, yes do them as they also wear and once done, it really transforms the car. However, whilst i have done both the C70's thus far, using Eibach and H&R springs on Bilstein B4 and B6 dampers, I have not done the R.

The R does have a very unique stance and I'd potentially be looking to get OEM Volvo springs or Eibach is suitable.

I also got new bump stops at the same time.

I must admit I put Lesjofors lowering springs from PFS on the rear of my V70R when the Nivomats gave up. I don't regret it as it bought the level to an acceptable position (though only just imo!!)

I refrained from putting them on the front too, as I reckon it makes the car look too chavvy - so as and when the fronts need doing it'll be OEM springs from a Standard V70 and Bilstein shocks. That of course is assuming it currently has Nivomats on the front too?? (assuming Volvo fitted them all round on V70R's????)

Hi, the Nivomats are for the rear only.
