Anyone had problems downloading their address book when setting up a new phone ? I've tried setting it up from the car and then phone, all options seem to be ticked on the car and phone but I still can't get any contact numbers up ?? Car is 2019 MY and phone is Galaxy S7

Thanks

John

Yes - I can't get it to download contacts on my MY2019 XC90 for some reason.

I do have the smartphone integration option, so can plug the phone in and use contacts via Apple Car Play, but that's kind of annoying....

I just figured it out. At least for iPhones....but its probably the same for Android.

It's not a car setting - it's a phone setting.

For the iPhone, if you go to the Bluetooth settings screen and select the advanced options for the car connection there is an option to sync contacts and recent calls.

Switch that on, wait 5 minutes and it's done.

In Android go to: Settings/Connected devices/Previously connected devices/ then select the cog-wheel icon for the Volvo connection. The screen shown below will appear.

I'm running Android 9.0 on a Pixel 2; earlier s/w versions or non-Google phones may be different.

The way to configure the download (sync) from your android phone via bluetooth to the car is accurate for other Android versions too.

A different issue re. contacts is that there seems to be a limit per alphabet letter.
In my case, I have over 4500 contacts in my phone, and many cannot be found when browsing contacts on the car's Sensus.

Anyone an idea if this is default in Volvo?
I drive a S90 MY2018
