As a slightly cheaper alternative to the one in the OP, I came across this a while back, which looks to do something similar, I.e. Audio streaming over Bluetooth. Lots of good testimonials.

The other one (OPs) was around £35! (SEK 398) How is 85 euro "cheaper"?

But the device linked to isn't for phone handsfree, but can be used for playing songs and stuff from the phone via the AUX socket. Newer models, like my XC70 2012 and 2016, will allow both phone and music via Bluetooth. |

Oops, it doesn't say SEK next to the price, so I assumed Euro. Thought it sounded a bit steep!

One of the easiest ways to add Bluetooth phone hands free to a car is to buy a satellite navigation unit with it built in.
Try the Garmin Nuvi 2519 at less than £100 Disclaimer. I do not have personal experience of this model, but did use a small older version many years ago. It was great apart from it saying ‘recalculating’ if I disobeyed it’s preferred route. New models just get on with it quietly. It was my first experience with telephone hands free and was excellent.

Re B/T kit from V-Parts in Sweden. Had a reply this morning claiming that they have had no issues with this kit to date.
I will place an order soon for this (and other LED bits) and have it delivered within Sweden to then pick end of Feb, will install and let you know how it goes come early March. Only snag at moment is that they do not post to UK (strange). If anyone is interested to get this kit later then I might be able to assist with a group buy for members.

I've done the same in my Volvo 850, as it of course didn't have any built-in handsfree. I also added a separate microphone to the Garmin Zumo. With the microphone placed near the sun visor at the driver's side, the sound "in the other end" was as good as it is with the built-in handsfree I have in the XC70's today.

I've got this to look at as I am planning on getting a P3 XC70 soon, which is unlikely to have Bluetooth. I only want phone connectivity, I'm not too worried about streaming. I quite like the Parrot kits (9100 and 9200) and have used them for some time, but I don't like the way that using a SOT mute loom will also kill the rear parking sensor audible signal and the Sat Nav instructions...
So I'm thinking of wiring the Parrot so it only switches and works through the drivers door speaker - forcing me to turn off the music when on a call but I'll still get the Sat Nav and Park assist sounds. Presumably if you do use the AUX input you might not hear the phone ring if you have say a CD on loud?

I got rid of the ground loop noise very simply and cheaply: use an audio isolation transformer on the AUX-IN, that way it doesn't matter. Cost all of a couple of GBP, delivered from China
