  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default Deck error

Hi all 2nd problem, tried to put a CD in the stereo and it won't load, just says deck error, when I first put the key in the ignition i can hear the cd player moving as if trying to work, don't know if there is already a cd in that is somehow stuck

Yep, also common problem with these drives. There are CDs in there. Pull out the unit, remove the CDs and get yourself a Dension or Grom to use instead of the CDC.

On another note, is there a way of getting the sound from the dvd player to come through the stereo? I have the single dvd player above the fridge, will wired headphones work on the controls on the pillars?

Should do, works on mine, also the DVD sound will play through the head unit if set to AUX on the source dial.

Thanks, figured it out, mine doesn't have an aux source but there is a speaker button on the media remote that then switches the rear speakers to the dvd

You must have an earlier model XC90 with the rear speaker switching box.
So you can have radio in front speakers and DVD in rear speakers

The later models used the AUXIN, and it's the same sound in all speakers regardless
