Advice for worn Seat Upholstery
Hello All,
Extremely new to this so please try and be patient with me as I attempt to work out how to use the forum! I have a Volvo S40 2.0D 2008 R-design Sport, It seems to be fairly common that the seats are in bad condition. I'm interested in having them re-upholstered / Repaired / Replaced. I have had the seats professionally cleaned, this was a waste of time as the leather just looks cleaner but still stretched and worn. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on how they resolved this issue? Did they replace the seats or did they get them repaired? I am wanting to swap out the Beige/Grey leather interior and replace it with a fabric interior at some point. Not sure if there is anywhere I can purchase the upholstery covers and replace them myself, i've seen people do this on Youtube and read a few threads on here that talk through it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. many thanks, Jordan |

I'll be interested to see any replies. The leather drivers seat on my XC70 is worn at the usual place. Not sure how easy it is to find and fit 2nd hand seat with all the electrics.

I had my 2002 S60 drivers seat done by the dealers. You could buy the cover from the dealer and get an upholsterer to fit it for you. I bought a new squab sponge and cover, the leatherette was knackered. The dealer quoted me for 1hr labour to do the job and the parts that come to £360. Heh, it took the mechanic 3.5hrs to do the job but they only charged me the hour. Best money I ever spent. The seat was great after
