Default '05 Volvo V70 2.4 T5 - 300bhp

Hi all,
Very sorry that my first post is a for sale ad, however I have used the forum lots for info - so a big thanks to an awesome forum.
Heres for the advert...

2005 Volvo V70 2.4 T5
260bhp standard, believed to be remaped to 300bhp
Manual, in white, with cloth interior
166k miles but drives like new
Full service history
Xenon headlights (factory)
ex police
Tax & MOT January 2011
PE10 (Bourne, Lincs)

This car is amazing. very very quick, iv owned some quick cars, but this is super-super quick for its size!

Only putting up for sale as need funds to move house, and my other cars do not seem to be selling.

Ex police, so extremely well looked after and maintained, high miles but drives as a new car would, super-comfy especially on the motorway, 30mpg ave and 37ish on a motorway run - awesome cruiser

This car was ex Cumbria police force, and has Xenon headlights (factory fit). Any trial, good, honest hard working car with lots of room, and the power to surprise a LOT of very quick cars!

Looking for around £3650 ono

TAX and MOT till Jan - tax is £235/year - not the ridiculous tax bracket.

PM here or email james_anthony_kelly@yahoo.co.uk

Thanks
JK

Did you get that off expolicecar.co.uk?

Just asking because They always say theirs are 300bhp remapped, get it on the dyno - would be very surprised if you were getting 300bhp - more like a genuine 280.

Still - good luck with the sale, i suspect some people may say £3600 is a bit high for a 166k miler but it's worth what someone pays for it and it looks in very good condition!

Without proof of a remap it's a standard car ex-plod, AFAIK the police do not remap their Volvos, it's been gone into about a million times and that's always the concensus. The 300bhp line does sound like expolicecar, I've seen them advertising cars as that before now.

Still looks like a decent example at a fair price mind you.

It surprises me how they continue to get away with it, you'd think no-one who'd bought one has had it on a dyno.

You must drive like a Vicar to get 37mpg I've only ever seen 35.4 on a run and the T5 in the S40 is higher compression, in a smaller car with a longer final drive so I'd congratulate you on reaching 37 on a run.

Thanks all,

Yes it was from that place, have not had it on a dyno - looks like I wont be able to keep it long enough to try one either.

Love the car, and I'd not hesitate to buy another, just bought at the wrong time, as my travelling miles have increased a lot.

37mpg was the figure i managed from Leeds to Peterborough at 60mph ish.

Open to offers, just basing on whats on the market at the moment, what I paid. Wish I didnt have to sell at all!

Cheers
JK
