New V40 Owner with a few problems Please help
I just picked up a really nice V40 2.0 and it drives perfect but i have a few problems
1. My Key fobs do not repsond to the car i have 2 of them i have replaced batteries but no difference. 2.My stereo does not power up i checked the fuses they are ok. I removed the stereo and noticed it was not connected so i connected it up and i notice the stereo does not power up and the stereo makes a noise no display and the light on the dash (open door) flashes. If i disconnect the stereo the warining light does not light up. I got a wiring kit for iso connection so i get put my sony stereo in and this did the same thing. 3.My central locking only seems to work when my key is in the ignition my pushing the button in the car if i remove my key the button in the does nothing. When using my key on the driver side door it does not open all doors open driver side same with the passenger. Should it be that if you open the door it should unlocked all doors using central locking system. Please help me out any info would be usefull to me thanks |

Not sure on the door light!!... But the other two... try unplugging the keyless entry module the plugging the radio back in, heres the thinking on it.... The fuse for both the radio perm. live and the keyless mod are both together in the engine fuse box, I had a prob with no central locking it turned out to be a break in the wire from the fusebox to the entry mod
