How many timing belt pulleys for a 940 2.4 tdi ?

My 940 2.4 litre tdi is due for a timing belt change.

The SKF timing belt kit for the car seems to include only one pulley and the diagram associated with the kit shows only one pulley (and the water pump):


However Skandix seem to indicate that both a timing belt tensioner pulley (59.50€) and a timing belt guide pulley (51.86€) are needed.

My question: Are the "timing belt tensioner pulley" and "the timing belt guide pulley" one and the same thing? If not, is it true that the two pulleys are needed?

just seen this post ! what is exact year of manufacture of your 940 ?
the picture you posted refers to engines PRE 1993 .
if you can remove you cam belt cover and post a photo showing what the belt set up is behind the cover i can tell you exactly what you need if your car is post 1993 my email is jimliddy1@gmail.com
