2009 C30 Air bag light on, windows/door locks not working
I'm having an issue with my 2009 C30 1.6 petrol electronics and any help would be much appreciated.
Driving to work this morning the airbag warning light appeared, shortly after i noticed none of the window/door lock controls were working form the driver side unit, the door locks aren't working from the key fob either. Side note - it has been raining heavily here the previous 24hrs is there any common water leaks near control modules? i don't have a sun roof. This problem occurred a few month ago also (in dry weather), i checked all the fuses but found none to be broken, after checking the fuses the problem disappeared, i presumed at the time it was a bad connection at one of fuses and the action of removing it and putting it back in had made a good connection again, there were no obvious signs of corrosion on the fuses though. Does anyone have wiring diagrams for the C30, this would be a great help in fault finding. |

The airbag control unit is under the centre armrest so the console needs to come out to reach it. I had error messages and sent it off to be reset There's a long thread on this issue). Can't see any rain getting to it there.

Thanks for the reply Leighman.
The light went out again the same day and hasn't returned since. My guess is a bad connection/broken wire or bad earth. I think the fact it knocks out all the central locking and power windows etc. leads me to believe it must be a power supply or earth to something which controls all of them (maybe to a door). I've been looking for wiring diagrams but cant seem to find a complete set to investigate further. |
