Default all wheel drive

Hi,
How can I know whether my Volvo V50 T5 Geartronic is AWD ? (the user manual says that AWD is optional)

A driveshaft running from the front to the rear axle might be a good place to start ;-)

Other than that, the simplest method might be to call your local Volvo dealer with the VIN number and ask them.

So actually it's not.

Usually the "AWD" badge on the boot is a bit of a giveaway

Cars can be specified new as de-badged or badges can be removed by previous owners so unfortunately, not quite as simple as this (which I just KNEW some clever clogs would chip in with at some point!!).

Also, I'm pretty confident that checking the boot for an AWD badge would have been 'Step 1' for enric but thanks to dew1911 anyway for his useful input (despite this post already being answered).
