I am not much help but experiance has taught me a small fault ignored turns into a cold wet night by the side of the road! Your problem is electrical and on a complex computer filled car is hard to diy fix.Find a good independent auto electrician and have your car plugged in to diagnose whats wrong.dont let anyone fob you of with some lie about needing the car all day or week.It takes 5 minutes to diagnose a fault.fixing it may take a week but if you can get a answer then you can think about the future.
