Got my neighbour to put his diagnostic tool back on the car today, there were 3 faults logged. One in the Climate Control Unit, something about the Damper being in the wrong position.

One for key-less entry -E001 Control module communication faulty communication, and I am guess both of these would not throw up the Engine System Check Light?

But then there was this one in the ECM - Clutch switch input circuit component failures. Performance or incorrect operation has anyone come across this before?

TIA

Sorry resurrect this thread.

This service light has never gone away. I had the oil and filter changed last week by my neighbour and we put in exactly 5.6 Litres of new Motul 8100 Eco-nergy 0W-30 6L oil. The service light went out but has since come back on approximately after 800-1000 miles (Wife had to go a funeral quite a way)

I rang Aberdeen Volvo today as I could see there was outstanding recall on the car, they told me it was not something that was really considered an issue as it was only advisory (something to do with the tailpipe trim) so not worth doing. While I had the chap on the phone I asked him whether the oil gauge needed re calibrating and he said no, he had never heard of anyone having an issue with too much oil in one of these engines and it was fine as it was.
