Instrument binacle for a 1993 L reg 2L turbo
Hi,
The speedo unit has stopped working! Yazaki, volvo part no 9130054, date stamped 1993/08/03 with turbo boost gage in the bottom of the rev counter. Any one got one they can sell me? Thanks Andrew |

Hi,
Bringing this back to the top of the list in the (probably vain) hope that someone has a working unit.... Thanks Andrew |

Hi Andrew. I think I have a 93 speedo if you are still looking for one it's either that or a 96 which won't be much good to you but, if you're interested I can check the year on Sunday.
Cheers Tristan |

Sorry. I completely forgot to check on Sunday. I'll be back there Friday so I'll try to remember and look then.

why not fix it? it is most likely a cracked solder joint where the brass posts are soldered to the circuit board .

Hi Clan - it doesn't seem to be... it all looks good, and I tried a slightly older model with the same plugs, but a different way of connecting the plug to the speedo itself, and that didn't work either; so I'm beginning to think the problem might be in the wiring... :-((
Actually, I think the part number quoted may be wrong - it might also be 3544281 |

I'm sorry it was a manic weekend. I think I'll be back there on Sunday this week. I'll set an alarm so I don't forget this week. Let us know if you get it sorted before then. Have you tried the trick to see if it's the sensor in the rear axle?

Thanks.
I'm not sure what the trick is, but I have tried a different sensor cable (which I know is OK) from the back axle and it hasn't helped. |
