Default Reverse camera not switching on

For the last two days, when I reverse, instead of the reverse camera operating it shows the signal from the upper rear 360 degree camera which is pretty similar but from a higher angle. Any ideas?

In the 360 degree view that you are getting, click on the vehicle image. This will show you all 4 cameras. Tap the rear camera. This will switch the view from 360 to rear view camera.

From now on, it will default to rear view camera, upon engaging reverse gear.

Also, there's no upper 360 camera. That 360 view is produced by stitching together the images from all 4 cameras.

As mentioned above If you manually select rear view camera that will be the view you get every time you put car in reverse, this will default back to 360 view if you then manually select 360 view, the 360 view will show every time you select reverse.
In short the last view manually selected will become the default view when reversing.

I prefer the 360 view with guide lines as it shows the front as well and warns if wheels or front is going to hit anything while manoeuvering in reverse.

There are two cameras. One is under the V of Volvo and the other is high up just under the rear spoiler. The first shows the view behind the car and the second shows part of the inside of the boot as well as the rear view. I have photographed them but the files were too big to load. May try again tomorrow.

Interesting. For the S90 the rear camera is just above the number plate.
Left and right cameras are just under the side mirrors and the front camera is within the Volvo logo.

What I missed about my Merc is the fact that the rear camera pops out. This means it's almost always clean.

Same with the XC90.
Which version have you got Billy Jay. I think it is useful if contributors include their model in their signature - it helps in sorting out how to answer problems.

Which car is this?

This is not how it works on my XC90 (or any other XC90 I have driven).

Sounds like it is a Volvo truck of some sort. 🤔

Otherwise which Volvo car do you suppose has two cameras at the back? XC40 perhaps?
