RE: Tyres
In my experience, margins seem high on tyres, and any place will always offer to 'match best price', and I've had mad reductions given. Most recent purchase was NCT5 215/55/16 for my S80 fitted at home all in at £80 a piece. I've checked a couple of the sites mentioned above and think any local dealer will match.

RE: Tyres
Trade price on bigger tyres like ones on our T5s are often 50% of what you would pay without a discount but on smaller wheels like my 240 I've found it only to be 25-30 quid less.
But hey I get them trade price anyway :> |

RE: Tyres
Just for info, the price for two P6000s (205/50/16) from this place with the fitted locally option is exactly £1.24 more than I just paid from a Volvo Dealer.

RE: Tyres
Just wondering why this is anchored to the top of the forum or am I doing something wrong?

RE: Tyres
Bob,
I too was contacted by Black Circles - via my T5R website. They seemed very nice and stuff. I agreed to their link, and then it all went very quiet... I assume that when they looked into it there was not enough traffic on my site to warrant their involvement. To tack onto the tyre/prices debate, Ive just found a supplier in Aldershot who'll sell me 205/40/17 Avon ZZ3s for £65 a corner! :7 Phil :)

RE: Tyres
Micheldever tyres down the M3 hate KwikFit so if you ring up and ask for a quote they'll give you a good one knowing that you will go to KwikFit with a price match promise - hence I pay £80 a corner for P0's or P6000's on my 16" T5 rims and only drive 1/2 a mile on a Sat morning to get it done - saves £'s on fuel! Call them on 01962774437. (KwikFit fitter told me to do this!!!!) Let me know if you get better?

RE: Tyres
Does anyone use F1's. I have been using Pilot Primicy's on my Scooby, which I pay £80 each. Same size tyres on my mew T5 and I was going to try F1's next time on my Subaru, but the T5 will need a couple soon -so F1's?

Get the GDS3's. They are the dogs whats its! Just put a couple on the front of my 850 and are even better than the gds2's they replaced after 28,000 miles.

Davef,
Don't you mean G S D (not G D S)? Not being picky just I couldn't find anything in the search engines!!! I was curious to know and found Goodyear make GSD2 + 3 and from what I can make out these are also known as F1's??? Can you confirm this is what you've used Dave? Thanks Chris |

Slip of the finger. The GSD3's is the latest incarnation of the F1. It is slightly different from the GSD2s.When you enquire about some F1's make sure that they are the GSD3's. I have it on good authority that Goodyear are looking at going into Formula 1 again to heavily promote these tyres. Dave |
