Default Celebration time again!

Another of those nice pieces of paper from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency. 26 years old (the car, not me!) and a few miles short of 200,000, and only three advisories, one, some rust on an outer sill, has been mentioned a few times over the years; otherwise just a slight oil leak, and a deteriorated pedal rubber (new one already on order).

Emissions - CO 0.57 (max. 3.50); HC 114ppm (max. 1,200ppm) - which I think is quite impressive

What's the point of having a modern car, with all of its potential problems and costs, when something well-made and durable can perform so well?

Nice one Angie

Its a matter I bring up quit often my 29 year old 240 is far cleaner than a modern car and perhaps even a diesel thats just out the box,

In 2016 before I replaced my injector seals (running quite lean) the CO was only 00.10% with HC 66ppm

Last year I expected a bit of a hike after the seal replacement with readings of CO 01.50% and HC 44ppm.

These readings like your own with limits of 3.5% for CO and 1200ppm for HC.

Annoyingly these figures are way bellow the limits but as the cars are 'too old' would be given more than the bums rush from any Low Emission Zone.
