South Africans...
are there any of you out there that use this forum? I feel very dettached from everybody here! Atleast we have 140's in common! We should start a collection of SA cars here. Mine will be the first!

140...South Africans...
Dylan,
We, the Volvo Owners Club of SA, have recently had our annual "Saamtrek" in Bloemfontein. Over 60 classics attended the show & shine on the Saturday, many of the 140 series. Visit our newly launched website - www.volvoclub.co.za Nice to hear you have a 144GT. We only have a few GTs registered Howard Bates Membership Secetary |

Hi Howard
Thanks for the reply. I am going to join the club soon. I don't know how many meets I'll get to as I am in Cape Town. Are there many in this neck of the woods? Unfortunately she isn't a GT...yet, but in present form is a '69 144S. I aspire to convert her to a GT though. Hope its not too much of a disapointment but it is in the pipeline. I just require an M41 Gearbox and the GT steering wheel. I have a set of GT guages and wheels. I don't think I'll convert the the remote gear shift as I prefere the long one and it also gives more character! A question, to constitute a GT does it have to have the R-Sport GT tuning kit? I ask this cuz I have seen GT's with the twin SU's and twin stromberg setups. Dylan |
