Ahh, in that case;
I have a little experience of rewriting the chips in LH2.4 ECUs and am fairly confident I can remove the immobilizer. I've never encountered a immobilizer equipped car to try though. If you decide to build a car and are happy to experiment, I'll write you some chips to try (£0), if only to satisfy my curiosity.

My 940 ECU is a 984 box, supposedly the best one they did in LH2.4 flavour. That has an immobiliser that will need chipping.
