Would I? Just did as a matter of fact! And certainly will again in the future, simply because I couldn't turn down a fixer-upper S80 and when that's all working as it ought to we shall possibly be moving to a V70 or early XC.

If they still sold the P1800 in white and the C70 coupe T5 GT in saphron orange and the original V90 3.0 ltr estate in pearlescent grey metalic, I would buy them all today.
I have a new XC90 inscription fully loaded but always hanker after my older Volvo's even my 1979 240 DL, and my black de-chromed 740 petrol turbo used to give me more pleasure than my new cars and often wonder why I did not keep them, (storage room I suppose).
My last 4 volvo' (3 Mk 1 XC90's and the new XC90) where bought because they are the most practical car on the market for my needs, I wanted to try something different but nothing else fitted the bill for room, cargo area and height, (see my dog in profile photo), 7 seats, towing ability, practicality or comparable price spec for spec so was stuck with getting another Volvo.
Only other car that fitted my needs was the Audi Q7 but it is far more expensive when loaded up to the same spec. (Much nicer 3 ltr engine though)

Now if Volvo bring this out without watering down the style I would buy one as well, looks like a modern version of a P1800/C70 coupe reborn. Wonder if they will do it in saphron orange.

Thumbs up Another Volvo?

Probably, yes, though they're rather expensive with limited standard equipment compared to competitors. Certainly pays to shop around at main dealers for best prices. Am personally waiting to see outcome of move away from diesel before next commitment.

Volvo have spun this one off to Polestar - it's called the Polestar 1 and does look stunning, made it's public driving debut at Goodwood. Hopefully we're allowed to share links on here:

From the Polestar 1 launch it seems they handed it purely to them. See the video here, about 2 minutes in:

Speaking as an ex multiple Volvo owner - isn’t anyone else that buys new, or near new, put off by the 60,000 mile limitation on new Volvo warranties?

This seems odd for a manufacturer that’s always sold on the basis of being tough and long lasting.

Now that I pay the bills myself, this is the one thing that would turn me off as the manufacturer’s warranty would expire in around 20 months for me (and aftermarket warranties are an extra cost aren’t the same thing).
