Default 2000 phase 1 s40 t4 for sale

hi i'm very reluctantly considering selling my t4 and wondered if anyone one would be interested,if anyone is interested then i will give full details, however its covered 85k with full service history, its lowered on cobra springs,it has a bsr optiflow air filter, and an autogauge boost gauge fitted but otherwise standard, and goes like it should, its a t4 xi with half leather in black, though its actually like a dark purple colour, and i'd say its in excellent condition for a 9 year old cari'm hoping for £1600 and its had quite a bit spent on it since i got it 12 months ago, anyone who's interested please message me for full details and more pictures

You don't want to do that...do you? After all the time and money you spent sorting out the suspension, BSR filter, new plugs, boost gauge and you said yourself the engine is showing better compression than when new. Also the fact that the Swedes go mad for this engine as it can be easily tuned beyond 300bhp on the stock internals.

Well worth 1600 squids but I think you'd be mad to sell

thanks for your comments,i need something diesel but i'm open minded as to what make,i had a diesel mondeo for many years which proved very reliable, though i have had a 306 dturbo and citroen xsara turbo diesel which were both good cars and better on fuel than the ford, when my situation improves though i would have another volvo, maybe a late model v40 t4 or an s60 t5 or v70 t5

I used to have an '02 S60 T5, which I bought after falling in love with the S60 when the dealer lent me one for a weekend while the wife's s40 which we'd just taken delivery of was getting a suspension knock sorted.

Absolutely lovely car - did have a thirst though, but what a pleasure to drive - I miss it very much Damn credit crunch, damn redundancy!

It will do far less if you boot it around town but it can return an impressive 38mpg crusing on the motorway, which is what it's really designed for.

why dont you swap it for a 2001 or later S40 diesel ? they will do well over 50 mpg on a run and still over 40 in general use .
