Two very different styles and size over that year range. Is it the early 57 style or the later early 60's style that will fit in to the late model panel you want?

If you are looking for this for your '69, note that it will not fit your front panel.
As CS says, you need to have a matching front panel for the two types. Very unlikely that you will find the very first type here in the UK.

Thanks for input I was unaware of the difference in size between early 57 and early 60 , my front panel is mostly filler after stripping back and in a sorry state so I was considering a face change depending on grill, I might reconsider this now I realise just how unlikely they are to turn up

If you have good type one grills I would trade them for a set of type 2 grills, they will in place of the type 3 & 4 grills

Are your grills like this? If so and that's the style you want you'd be better off modifying a later pair to copy that style rather than modifying the front panel.

That is the type 2 style that will fit the later panel
