Smile How about that

Well as the title is confusing I thought I should share what random thing happened to the ol 440

Basically my horn had started dying a a week ago so I had informed the mechanic and let him know was it possible to look at it, and he was busy so it would have to wait, so driving away as normal the day before the mechanics I was driving along the road an all of sudden a huge "ping" noise as if the car had a rubber band and it pinged off, wondering what the hell that was I was about to pull over until my mum said was that your horn? to which I replied I don't know but I'll check

And how about that, it fixed itself lol I was pressing the horn and it worked like a sweet lol don't know how maybe someone would fill me in but that was random lol

Thumbs up

Just guessing here, I don't know the assembly but I wonder if a spring might have gone back into place? Obviously the horn is 'sprung' in some way in order to return when pressed ... either by spring or tempered plate of some sort?

All's well that ends well, eh

Tony

The horn itself often rusts solid as it's located in a spot which is full in the waterspray when it's raining. I wouldn't count on it that it keeps working though, most times this is a sign that it's on it's way out. Best is to use it every now and then too keep it in working order. Just honk to every nice chick out there, you've got an excuse now!
