Mine came today
Fitted it immediately and very happy although I chose to drill a hole in the exhaust for the screw rather than leave it to (potentially very great) friction. Worth knowing that the tailpipe is very strong and very hard to drill through, which is a good sign I think. Also because on my D3 the pipe is 68mm and I bought a 70mm chrome thing I initially had some rattle from the 'air gap'. What I did was make a 3 layer sandwich of tin foil and 'line' the inside of the chrome thing - stopped the rattle straight away.
Also got a black volvo-branded metal riveted tax disk holder that looks much better than the awful dealer plastic one. |

How do these differ from the ones I saw in Halfords, I'm sure they are the same price?

So they bolt on from the sides, and sort of press inwards? I was planning on getting one but I'm not sure I can be bothered now, looks nice though.

They just slip over existing exhaust and then are secured by a (approx) 3mm diameter screw. I positioned the screw at a 12'o'clock position to try and minimise crud getting into it (and that its hidden) and coppersliped the screw before fitting. Took ten mins tops....

They literally just slide on

Seriously though it's a lovely addition, especially alongside the rear skid plate I added too. |

Hi people, I’m the owner of www.aftermarketsounds.co.uk and I’m glad you had a good buying experience from us. We like your before and after shots and have been searching for a while to try and find some good pictures to use for this product line, would it be ok if we were to use your pictures?
Also just to let everyone else know we've updated the range and included more measurements for each individual tail pipe as well as increased the range of sizes we’re offering the new range can be found at http://www.aftermarketsounds.com/rolled-tail-pipes.html |
