Default FINALLY! my XC60 has arrived

So here it is.

XC60 D5 AWD SE Lux Premium
Sapphire Black
Premium Sound + sub
PCC
Tow Bar

Went to pick her up today, and am really pleased so far. Everything more or less as expected, as i've spent so bloody long reading this forum - i actually knew more than the dealer did.

I have the wind noise with the wing mirrors to contend with - that can wait for the 3 month check up.

The Premium Sound system + sub woofer has really impressed me. I am a film recording engineer for a living, so know good sound from bad - and this really does have immense clarity and oodles of bass. Ipod nav is ok if a little slow at times, but great being able to control from the steering wheel.

Car feels huge compared to my outgoing Golf - but i'm sure i'll get used to that. I've a few photos but i didn't go to town as i'm sure you've all seen a Black XC60 before! Hopefully i'll get some snaps at the weekend with her on the beach... a slightly more interesting terrain than a south london street!

enjoy...

new car next to my (soon to be) old car

all in all - very pleased so far. cheers for all the conversations throughout the last 3-4 months that have kept me going!

Yep, looks the dogs whatsit's!!

Is the sound system an upgrade of some sort or the system that comes with the Premium upgrade? Hope it's the latter - if you're impressed as a pro, it must be good.

I'd get it undercover soonist, just in case the igosh1te bird has it in it's sights for a bombing run! ;-)

Now the real fun begins - you will find that you are looking for excuses to go out for a drive all the time

Had mine 8 months now and still enjoy going out for a drive in it!

there ain't no cover - it's street parking for me!!

the sound system is the 'premium sound pack - dynaudio' thing with the sub woofer. The sub has to be added subtley because it's frickin heavy - and i don't like to turn heads as i drive down the road! just want it to sound good.

But the sound is incredibly detailed and up front, punchy and crisp. It sounds considerably better than my £1300+ B&W home cinema system in my lounge. shame most of the time i'm in the car there's a baby in the back

The XC60 is really growing on me, they're quite a good size too - not too big not too small. This and the Skoda Yeti are two new cars I like the look of.
