S80 D5 problem: engine service required
I have had an S80 D5 auto 2003 for less than 2 months (145,000 miles) and it's been one thing after another. I've spent a lot on it already. The "engine service required" light keeps coming up. The fault codes were read at 2 independent garages and the code was 6805 boost pressure flow. They found leaks in the intercooler, and a split pipe to the intercooler as well as a split upper engine mount. These have all been replaced with genuine new parts by the garage and I collected the car yesterday.
To my great disappointment, the engine service light came on again today as I was taking my son to school and I pulled into a car park, turned off the ignition then restarted the car. Light hasn't come on again but I am at my wit's end and I don't know what else could be wrong with this car. I have spent so much on it already and am not in a position to get another car for a couple of years. I would be very grateful for any advice. |

If you're still getting the 6805 code then here's the sticky thread of things to check: http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=132443
