Default XC90 First Edition for sale...already!!!

Remember the XC90 First Edition...1,927 fully-loaded examples worldwide available online only and not through dealerships about a year ago...sold out in less than 48 hours?

In Dublin a month ago I was surprised to spot one being offered for sale by the Volvo dealership in Waterford in an advert in one of Ireland's national newspapers - Irish Independent or Sunday Independent or The Irish Times, I forget which. The €108k asking price works out at approximately £75k.

How much was a FE? Would they be turning a profit at 75k GBP?

From a Volvo web site:

"The recommended retail price for the single specification First Edition is £68,000"

Seems like a good idea to buy one and sell it on then, provided they realise the price of course.....

£80k for an XC90. Wow. That is steep.

Lots of dealers bought FE edition cars to put in the showroom/sell on.

My local dealergroup has a FE in each of their dealerships which they use for test drives and are for sale.

If I was spending £80k, or even £60k. I wouldn't waste my time with a test drive.

A 2lt, 4 pot diesel for Porsche money. It's crazy.

I love the look of the xc90 and the interior....but the engines and pricing are hilarious compared to rivals.
