Default Volvo Coolant V50 2.0D

Hello,

Just purchased my first ever Volvo!

I need to change the radiator as its leaking badly and the inter-cooler has a huge hole in it!

My question is what coolant? What colour should it be?

We are Volvo marine dealers where I work, anybody know what engine is in the V50 2.0D 2005 and if parts are inter changeable with marine?

Thanks in advance

Just get your coolant from a Volvo dealer.
4 litres of concentrate is £22 which is cheaper than most other places and guaranteed compatibility.

You need OAT antifreeze.
Look for amber, orange or red.

Any car parts place and most large supermarkets will sell it.

Volvo main dealer coolant is blue/green so I would double check here with your reg number to be safe. Mixing the wrong stuff is bad news.

Comma G48 (or equivalent) rings a bell for Volvos and is widely available off the shelf.
