I am a bit confused reading this thread....
So a new SE Lux (which has active bendy xenons) does or does not need adjusting?

I know xenons have fairly flat beams, and I have been guilty of not adjusting my Saab on the odd Euro trip (guilty M'Lud!).....but I find it hard to believe they do not legally need adjusting!

Great to discover this feature is on the XC60 though....we may get to Europe once or twice a year

It does not need adjusting (with the possible exception of some of the early MY14 off the line). The beam is slightly flatter than 'normal'. To quote the manual: "The headlamp pattern does not need to be adjusted for right or left-hand traffic. The headlamp pattern is designed in such a way that oncoming traffic is not dazzled."

I think this may be because the DRLs provide some illumination.
