XC60 New Sensus software V3

The upgrade has been mentioned within other sensus threads but I thought I would start a new one for those who have not picked up on it.


The main difference is the trip statistic feature which is accessed via the MY CAR button.



Clicking on Trip Statistics will bring up a screen similar to this




Using the scroll thumb-wheel on the steering wheel will switch to a 10 mile version.


There is a sub menu for the page which is as follows





I have not found a way of scrolling back in the journey, so I guess it just shows the last 10 miles or last 100 miles depending on the screen selected.

There are plenty of other changes allegedly to make access more logical from the steering wheel controls but I have not had time to check them as I have been feeding my car a diet of Map DVD's today!

Took mine in for the QAI on Wednesday and they mentioned there was a problem with the discs that meant they couldn't upgrade Sensus that day but it should be ready for Friday (tomorrow). Might be Monday before I go back.

I've updated mine but I don't have the trip stats bit on mine. Have I not had the latest discs?? Or is this for XC60s only??

What is the software Version number of your upgrade?

I think you are refering to the SAT NAV DVD upgrade discs that are currently being sent out.
The SENSUS upgrade will upgrade the car's operating software that controls the mutli-media display screen.
If you have an iPhone/iPad etc the app called "Volvo Senus" has just been upgraded this Weds to show you all the new features of the latest Sensus 3
system.

Mine was done on Wednesday ( yesterday ), but I thought it was a download from Volvo, not discs?

They mentioned discs, but I am not sure I was being told the full story.

Is the upgrade from Sensus 2 to Sensus 3 a free upgrade or is it chargeable? I had my car given it's QA about 3 weeks ago - should it have been done then or only during a full service?

I had it done free under warranty, I just booked it in for that and nothing else. It was done while I waited and took around an hour.

Wow, that menu and trip stats presented in Sensus look good!

Makes me almost regret that I don't have the Sensus on mine
