Default Senus Upgrade Today to V3

As part of the car's 1st annual service today I had the Senus software upgraded to Version 3. Looks pretty good on 1st impressions - like the Trip stats feature.
It may be just me, but I feel the system is a wee bit bit faster & slicker the way it moves between menu options.

Totally agree with you - being in IT I do get frustrated with the niggles but it's nice to believe that they are now resolved.
I noticed last night the apple have announced a tie up with a lot of major global car manufactures to introduce their voice recognition software "siri" into the next generation of incar systems. So you will be able to "Tell" the car what to turn on/up/down............ I expect Volvo will be playing a development role in this project.

Will it have functionality to tell the mother-in-law to shut up

Attempts to update V60 Sensus, failed today.

The garage have to get in touch with Volvo, as the appears to be something wrong with the update.
Think that Clan mentioned a problem, earlier?

Spoke to my dealer. This update will be done at the next service. It's only done free before that date if you're having "freezing" problems - then it's done under warranty.

Default Sensus V3

Spoke to my supplying dealer (Brindley Wolverhampton ) today enquiring if it is possible to have Sensus update done on my XC60 (April 2011 ), found it extremely difficult to convey to the lady I spoke to what I was asking about , at one stage of the conversation she said I might need a new " stalk "!!!!!.When I asked her to look into it she said shecouldn't as she was leaving shortly !!!! so would pass it on to the Service Manager .
In the meantime have spoken to Volvo Customer Services (Vijay ) who said he will get back to me today.

The person whose's role in a dealership to understand the ever increasing complexities of a car's system is normally called the "Master Technician" who is the person I normally speak to if the young kid on the service desk does not know her "Sensus" from her "Lipstick". This Master Technician is the person who gets sent on all the latest Volvo Training Courses - he is looking forward to the latest V40 one....................

I agree, it all seems a bit more logical and now seems to work! The POI facility now shows the icon and you can select "no sound" correctly, which did not work before.
