I'm amazed, being a relative newbie when it comes to volvo's, I thought that kind of power was the domain of supercars and your scoobies, evo's and skyline's, etc.
Nice work, shows there is hope for us yet lol. Tom

Volvo are winning races with the C30 in the Swedish touring car championship Volvo won the 1980 world rallycross championship with the 343 , 1400 cc 250 bhp Volvo won the 1985 European Touring Car Championship with the 240 nearly 400 bhp in those days from a near standard high boost 2 litre B21 engine Volvo also won the british touring car championship in 1998 with the S40 2 litre 5 cylinder engine with 300 bhp ( no turbo ) if you put your mind to it you can get great power from most makes of car as long as they have sound engineering to start with . My speciality is the Hillman Imp engine i have got 175 bhp out of a 998 cc and a turbo charger with good results :-) Talking of which this fabulous little car won the British touring car championship in 1970 1971 AND 1972 a hat trick never repeated since by anyone with 135 bhp from its 998 cc naturaly aspirated 2 valve per cylinder engine which revs to 9000 rpm still unmatched even today except for bike engines of course
