Thumbs up The Big Rebuild to my S70 R

I decided I needed more power and have been rebuilding my S70R engine over the last 13 months to handle a major upgrade in power and performance.

Below are some of the first picture of me stripping the car:

My next post will show my upgrades I am going to do.

Here is a picture of the upgraded high beam rods to handle big horse power *look at the difference* 83 and 84:

Here are the upgraded JE Pistons with groves for some piper cams:

Here we have an upgraded steel head gasket:

Here are 2 piper cams that I had made by piper cams themselves:

This is a 19T turbo with a bigger exhaust wheel in it for better boost - this is solely for running the car in - I will be fitting a GT30 on it after:

I envy you your skill level, I have rebuilt engines in the past but never ventured into modifying at this level, what is the estimated bhp going to be?

What are you doing on the transmission side of things? Looks a great project and I wish you all the best with it

Well apart from the S70R LSD which I have upgraded I have fitted uprated driveshaft and gear cogs to handle more power. Also an uprated clutch and flywheel

Looks a nice project so far, i've got to send one of my blocks off for a rebore sometime soon. But first i need to create some space in the garage to have a clean engine building area.

What are you going to use for an exhaust manifold???

Hi What a great thread this will be, My other car is currently being rebuilt but i haven't the funds to get the rods and pistons done so it will be on standard internals for now,
