Default Dipped beam failure warning

I keep getting a dipped beam failure warning (v70 p3 HID lights) but when I check the lights both are working. However, one of them has developed a pink tinge. Is this a sign of imminent failure and consequent plunging bank balance? (Or is there somewhere cheaper than Volvo to buy replacements?)

If you have Xenon headlights then the pink tinge is a sign that the bulb is about to fail.

Best to replace both at the same time and keep the good one as a spare.

New Xenons used to be horribly expensive but now they cost only around 40 EUR or 35 GBP each

Very easy DIY job
