That's good to know. The only problem I have with the Merc is they are quite high up so impossible to close bonnet when the connectors are on. Have Volvo thought about that?

No idea whether Volvo thought about it, but I can close the bonnet while charging.

Spoke to Volvo UK, they asked me to get in touch with local Volvo, I emailed local Volvo a while ago, no response (I assumed they are closed), recently got an answer from local Volvo, and their advice was not to charge my car with a battery charger.

Did they suggest what else you might use to recharge the battery?

They ask me to use Volvo assist if my car cant start. I just emailed CTEK asking for advice, I have the CTEK MXS 5.0, you have to manually select AGM mode, but I noticed the CTeK CT5 start/stop auto detect, so maybe this one would work.

I just got a reply from CTEK support saying that I can use NORMAL mode to charge both batteries.
Going to try it. |
