Default Identify unplugged connector from motor wire

Dear community,

When opening the bonnet, I found an unplugged connector on the motorwire. The car was serviced a couple of days ago. Any hint why this plug would be left unconnected and what is the purpose of this it (it is close to the EGR Valve). Any idea where it has to be connected as I did not find the obvious missing connector.

Thank you

The connector looks like an unused option with a dummy plug connected to it.

To further identify it you need to tell us the car's model year and engine type.

Also, the wire colours would also assist if someone wants to look at the wiring diagram

Not connected to anything, just tape it back onto the main loom

I observed that my car (MY2009 D5) has the same extra connector, taped to the loom. Not used. Tape it back to the loom.
