Default Changing Rear Discs and Pads

Hi all

I've just got a set of rear pads and discs off eBay for £40. I'm getting a mechanic friend to fit them as I don't feel confident enough to do the job myself.

I read in the Haynes manual that I will have to replace the 'caliper clips' everytime the pads are changed. However, it doesn't look like these clips came with the pads.

Can anyone tell me what these look like, how much they cost and where I can get them from?!

Thanks.

Does that mean you didn't replace the pins? Were they good enough condition that you didn't need to or was it that because the pads are held in by the caliper, you don't need didn't them?

Ok, well from what you've all said, I don't need to worry too much about these pins (although the Haynes manual does mention them!).

Getting them done of Friday anyway so no more grinding, in the meantime will just have to make do with the missus' MX-5!
