(Alright spell check, callipers! British spelling apparently, looks odd to me)
It might be interesting if you can find an original Lucas part number stamped on them and not a Volvo (30 something) one, because they were probably used on several different car types of the same era or later. So there is a chance that you might be able to buy them from a reputable Lucas OEM parts dealer. When that's the case, they are very likely to be the same price.

If I need some I will check the Sachs web site for another company that is certified as OEM standard. Some Zimmerman (Made in Germany only) rear brake parts look good, BUT I'm not sure if they list calipers.

It's not legal to fit different Calipers or other brake parts on one side of a car to the other in Germany for obvious reasons. In case of rear calipers only, IF the rolling road machine gives the same figures on either side I doubt if it makes any difference. I sure would not mix pads and discs though.

Very few owners work on brake systems where I am because of insurance restrictions. If you bodge a job it can result in big trouble if you are involved in any type of accident. Those that do their own work, then visit a local Iffy Lube to get the job inspected and checked on the brake tester, that way there can't be trouble from the Police OR insurance inspector, if your luck runs out. It's possible to see the Volvo name on the pads without removing the wheels, so any accident inspector will then know if it's worth looking further at the brake system.

One more minor problem to add to the list, the fuel flap lock pin is scraping the latch rather noisily, it's silent when the flap is open, and the positioning of the pin mechanism seems to be adjustable with a torx screw, so I'll get to adjusting that and rubbing down & painting the rusty bit on the latch in due course. It's also an excuse to buy some touch up paint.

In the meantime, some Vaseline oughtta sort out the noise for a week or two.

In fact it's probably easier just to get a Dremel to the latch and cut a notch out of it

Strangley it mentions remote alarm for the SE model, I have fancy sensors but no fob...... I am guessing this has been lost as I use the key to open the car and not a Fob thingy. I am guessing if I went to Volvo they would don a mask and rape me for a new one then???
£166 for just the key at Volvo in Codsall, no one else could make a copy so I just had to suffer it. After that I am not going to bother with a fob, just use the key.

If you have key cover on your insurance (usually about £20 annual option), the full key & alarm replacement is whatever your excess costs, and it doesn't affect your NCB or premiums next year.

You just have to tell them that your keys are lost.

Gatos sorted me out with the reciever unit and 2 fobs, quick smartish and cheap.

Could do with a new key but not too clued up on whats involved, i.e Timpsons or the main stealer...

The main dealer has to program the car to the key/fob via the Volvo mainframe server in Sweden. Software charges are mandatory, as I understand it. I think it might depend if your immobiliser still works.
