Default Redundant High Performance Sound Functions

I was playing around in the FM menu on the High Performance Sound radio in my 2013 C30 the other day and came across a couple of functions which had no effect, the equaliser and auto volume increase. If I had the Premium Sound System they would work so my question is could my dealer activate these functions for me? I appreciate that I probably don’t have the same hardware as the premium system (I’m a couple of speakers down and the amp will be different) but I’m wondering if the hardware in my car would be able to perform these functions? I had the auto volume increase in my previous car and found it very useful.

Thank you.

I have 2012 V50 with that sound system and the equaliser function definitely works. Not so sure about the auto volume function though as I seem to have to turn up he volume at higher speeds

Both work in my 2004 V50. The auto volume increase is most effective when turned up to high. Gives quite a noticeable increase in volume at certain speeds, but may not be enough to cope with noisier tyres etc.

Don't know if there were any changes to later versions of the High Performance system, but I have different settings for both CD and the FM/AM sections of the menus.

Thanks for the replies.

I am stupid....I thought scrolling through the different frequencies would apply presets, didn't realise that I had to adjust each frequency with the tuning button, it works perfectly.

I've set the auto volume to high so I'll see what effect it has next time I'm out.

I've only recently (after 5 years) adjusted the Graphic Equaliser using a guide I found online (might have been swedespeed) I printed a photo out and copied the settings to mine. The music now has better clarity all-round.
