Wet Vac also required Don't be put off by the amount of work required, I was putting off for ages and so far, it hasn't been all that bad!! Quite enjoyable actually just seeing the workmanship in building these cars is fantastic!! I will keep the updates and pictures coming in the hope this may help you. |

I have removed two consoles until now but didn't have to put them back... It is not that it is hard to do, but rather laborious and tedious . The hardest thing is removing those bloody cable ties hidden away.
We can most probably attempt to remove it on Tuesay Siamblue and hope that it is the heater matrix which is at fault. If not, then......... Quote:

I'm now ready to take the dash out but have hit a slight snag!!
I have 1 bolt left to undo on the passenger side at the top but I cannot get at it!! Do you have to remove the vent or the speaker to get it? |

You have to remove the speaker cover and lift up the speaker. Then with a long extension you should be able to reach that bolt

GOT IT!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!! The dashboard is now out of the car!!
Now to get the heater box itself out. Proving a bit difficult at the moment though, on the pics on this thread, it shows a left hand drive heater box but on the RHD it looks like the pipes come through the bulkhead in the same place. The heater box looks like it's in 3 parts does anyone know how many or if all of these need removing? |

IIRC the first one comes out with the fan, the second one houses the matrix and pulls out, the third stays in place...

Unfortunately we do not have a Kwik Fit here on the Isle of Man (I say unfortunately but mean thank the lord as I run a tyre bay here and don't require the extra competition) so I may just have to bite the bullet and spend my hard earned!!
