S40 T4 on V-power
On a long run at 70mph I'll get 37-40mpg feather footed Round town with lots of stop/start - 33mpg Normal combined average per tank is around 36mpg. If I have a lot of fun in it I'll get 31-32mpg - Never seen it lower than 30 though and that was driving it like I stole it for a considerable amount of time Highest I've ever seen was 41.2 and that was cruising between 65 and 70 and was immensely boring... |

My dads T4 gets 34.5 combined on a run (75 motorway miles per day) and finds it's impossible to get higher, maybe the software on the 2002 is different from the 2001? I don't know, I don't understand why mine is higher but I'm not going to complain. |

These figures can't be right Alex. Driving a turbo charged car heavily footed and it won't drop below 30mpg? I find that very hard to believe, honestly. The normal combined average of 36 is not too far fetched but the 33 in town doesn't sound right to me at all. My 1.8 is 3 mpg below that and that's me driving carefully. Maybe these T4s are very economical but these figures sound too good to be true to me, just being honest

Another guy on there recently got a 2003 T4 and he averaged 40 something at 75mph on cruise control, the 2001+ T4s really are quite impressive on fuel. |
