Given that Mrs baldmosher™ doesn't like leather trim and I'm not the biggest fan, judging by this info, it seems a 2004 would be no use to me... all got the upgrade to leather!
From what I have gathered no 2 cars are the same.... On that guide is says that SE models have a sunroof... Err unless I am completely blind but mine hasnt got one for starters!! The leather tho is bleeding lovely apart from my car hasnt got the heated seats so this winter is going to be an eye opener to say the least! Oh well the heater warms up nice and quick anyway!

At 6'4" tall, I need every mm of headroom I can get! At least the Ph2 came with bucket seats, but the Ph1 was ridiculous. My eyes were almost level with the top of the windscreen

I'm 6'3" and find its the same, but cosy rather than cramped. Keep an eye out on SLR Motors, he's a friend of my brother in law, and just deals with second hand Volvo. Had both of mine off him, and can't fault his cars or service.

They've usually got pretty good service history too, as he gets most of them from dealerships after px deals. He's got a Facebook page which is kept more up to date than auto.trader.

Aye, he said he'll give me first refusal on a diesel. I am being a little picky with what I want, I suppose, but then as I have a car already, I can afford to be! I'm just fed up with beige....

That reminds me, I need to ring that place in Bradford, but not sure if I'll be able to get there before the weekend anyway, so not in a hurry.

Am I justified in avoiding the 2001-2002 "phase 1.5" models?

The ones with the square key fobs and the old style instrument panel (and I guess maybe the waterfall grille)? Or is there basically nowt particularly wrong with them in principle?

Sorry to bump my own thread like an attention seeking teenager, but it's a serious question...

Is there any particular reason to avoid the 2001-2 limited run cars or am I just being picky?

They are actually Phase 2 cars. Differences from late 2002-2004 cars is very small. Speedo, and keyfobs are the main differences really. If you find a mint 2001-2002, go for it
