Replacing Brake Calipers
Hi,
I'm replacing the rear calipers of my 2010 C30. Its been sitting idle for about 2 years. I'm having a problem removing the e-brake cable from the caliper. All the advise says that the cable should just pull through, albeit with difficulty if there's plenty of corrosion. However, looking at it, it just doesn't look like it would pull through From the front side, there appears to be some sort of plug From the back, there seems to another small plug that I can't shift. I assume if I remove the small plug on the back, I should be able to pull the cable through. Any advice gratefully received Last edited by SimonRB; Feb 5th, 2024 at 10:35. |

That should pull out, it must just be corrosion/road gunk. Shouldn't need to do any further dismantling of it. Maybe give it some gentle persuasion with a small hammer. I've attached a photo of what it looks like when it's out
