Default V70R manual headlight adjustment??

I'm sure that this has been done to death, but is there a way of disabling the link between the chassis / suspension sensors and the headlights?
My 2003 V70R has been happily driving around on the Sport setting for a year now, and that causes me no problem at all. I have actually had new suspension all round, but yet again the fault reader comes up with the seemingly standard out of tolerance message, and I'm told that I need more new parts - bit I've been here before - that's why I've got new suspension!
The only problem that I have is that the default position of the headlights in this scenario is 10 feet in front of the bumper. Fortunately I rarely have to drive any distance at night, but this headlight situation is ridiculous.
I know that this appears to be an increasingly common issue (hardly surprising with those linkages under the car), and so I thought that there might be a "fix" already worked out that would allow me to adjust the headlights manually without interference from electronic systems.
Any pointers or ideas?

Default Short answer : - No

The auto lights are controlled on the P2 AWD R by 2 resistance type controllers mounted on each of the rear suspension. They are the same( one works up down the other down up) Unless you can get these two "controllers" to balance within a certain range you cannot perform a SUM recal using VIDA/DICE. The AWD R works different to other V70 with Xenons
It is impossible to do a sum recal without DICE/VIDA.

I have had long threads on this which I'll look up and post when I get 5 mins.

With DICE connected I jacked the rear of the car to get the controllers in sync which worked for a while. However, I lost a stepper motor (lifts/lowers the lights) which confused me, so I got the rear controller. (PIA to change)

Good Luck

Have a look at the rear sensor's and the links rods as they can seize up or fall off.

Thanks for the link Bob - certainly points in right (possibly only) direction.
You too Harveys; both my links are in the rear footwell - seized!
