Smile Your Comments, Advice, on this LPG Product

Dear Members

I have a 1998 Volvo V70 2.4t /20v (Auto) 5 cylinder

I live in Luton (Beds) i have been looking at various LPG kits and Conversion garages around Luton with various quotes, recently i have come accross 2 installers but i have never heard of the LPG kits they install. I would like to have feed back if any one has used this type of Kit before and what their experience has been, I thank you in advance for your comments, please click on the following links for each Installer and the product they offer

Micromise used to have there own system but now it looks they are putting various parts togather now to make a system.

The ECU shown on the web site looks the the basic STAG ECU.

Injectors are made by RAIL

Vapouriser I don't know who's that is.

Luton list a few differnt systems so you would have to check which one the would intend to fit.

As your car is a Auto the mapping will need to be perfect for smooth driving.

Just as important as the kit will be the installer. A good kit poorly installed is no better than a poor kit well installed.

Kits I would consider are OMVL, Prins, latest BRC, KME or Euro gas (not sold in the UK)

Hi,

The reducer is a Tomasetto Alaska, rated for around 120bhp.
However when I chatted with the people at Micromise they told me they make their own regs, after questioning that the reg was a Tomasetto Alaska they stated that they alter them to make them better (this was however a few months ago)

Higher pressure spring maybe?

Edward.

Probably just a washer to apply more pressure. The guy told me they made their own electronics but the photo is a stag ecu. I'm fairly sure its just a mix and match cheap system byt the is just my opinion.
